What is Measure of Central Tendency?
it is a measure how spread out a set of data is to be precise it means to find the Mean, Median and Mode.

Example 1:
Find the Mean, Median and Mode for the following data:

3,5,4,6,6,6,4,2,1,7,1,8,10

for the mean you just need to add altogether then divide with the amount how many numbers are there you can also called it average.

3+5+4+6+6+6+4+2+1+7+1+8+10 / 13
= 63 / 13
= 4.84

for the Mode you just need to pick the value which has the most appear. (double or more value)
3,5,4,6,6,6,4,2,1,7,1,8,10

so in this situation there are 6(three value), so the mode is 6.

for the Median you need to organize the data first and then pick the middle value.

1,1,2,3,4,4,5,6,6,6,7,8,10 for the median is 5.

Example 2
The monthly salaries of six employees at Jollibee are $340, $220, $110, $480, $220, $200. For these six salaries, find the (a)mode (b)median (c)mean:

a)mode is $220
b)median $110, $200, $220, $220, $340, $480. the median is $220.
c)mean $340, $220, $110, $480, $220, $200 / 6
= $1570 / 6
= $261.67

    $200,000 -4
    $700,000 -1

The values of 11 houses on Washington Street are shown in the table, and it says find the mean, median and range value of these houses in dollars.

  4. yes i understand you clearly to answer your question.

    for the mean: 100000 + 5(175000) + 4(200000) + 700000 / 11 = 225,000

    for the median: 100000, 175000, 175000, 175000, 175000, 175000, 200000, 200000, 200000, 200000, 700000.

just simply rearrange the given number and locate where the middle (6th value) occurs: 175000

for the range is the easiest part just subtract between the highest and the lowest given set of number, so in this situation the highest is 700,000 and the lowest is 100,000, (700,000 - 100,000) = 600,000
